I just bought a domain and web host,?

from aplus, but I have no idea what to do now. Does a web host enable me to post a layout, ect?

Thanks in advance!

Chosen Answer:

Yes, but you have to create the files on your PC first, then save it and upload to your webhost.

Also, you have to let your domain name registrar know which webhost you are using (make sure the nameservers are correct).

Your webhost should have sent you nameserver addresses to give to your domain name registrar.

I must warn you that it could take a day or two for this to take affect. The domain name registrar call this propulgate or something like that.

Patience will be what you need for this set up.

Most servers have a panel that allows you to upload and edit webpages. 90% of servers use cPanel. if it doesn’t already come with it, try getting it at http://www.cpanel.com this allows you to go to ‘YourDomain.com:2082′ (port 2082) instead of having to go through your server’s login.

you can create your entire website but usually you will have to be familiar with html. If you just want to get it done I suggest http://www.samwilson3d.com
One advantage of using a web designer is that you will almost inevetably get more traffic. They offer on and off-the-page search engine optimization at no additional charge
